I don't even know what to think anymore. Today I saw this:
And totally came undone. How many more big manufacturers are going to try to put us indies out of business? They are doing everything in their power to shut us down and lure our customers elsewhere. Not all manufacturers do this, but there are so many who do now. And so many are working with big box and online discounters that in tech-savvy So Cal, with an amazing 40+ stores still open, they are in essence another stab in our hearts. I'm not sure how much more we can endure. It's understandable the big box is going to do what it has to do to come after us and close us but why are the manufacturers taking part in the Local Scrapbook Store extinction?
I don't want to live in a world where my best option for customer service regarding papercrafting is Michaels, JoAnn or Hobby Lobby. And that's the future without your love and support of your local scrapbook stores. Any of us, all of us. This isn't a plea for me and my store, but for all independently owned stores. Don't make us your last stop, make us your first.
